You work in media art and have recently realized a project in this field? Submit it to the “Prix Ars Electronica” and win one of the most prestigious media art prizes in the world
The Prix is awarded every year and has always been an important platform for artists who present their work to an international jury of experts. It targets projects at the interface of art, technology, and society and can be won in 3 categories
New Animation Art: focuses on works that explore and experiment with visual
expression at the intersection of animation, art and technology
Artificial Intelligence & Life Art: is dedicated to artistic practice and thinking related with all areas of AI and Life Sciences, e.g. engaging with Biotech, Genetic Engineering, Synthetic Biology etc
Digital Music & Sound Art: considers works combining sound and media, computer compositions ranging from electro-acoustic to experimental music, as well as sound installations
Participants may be individuals, groups, institutions, and companies
Prize: the Golden Nica, up to EUR 10.000,- per category and a prominent appearance at the renowned Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, Austria
Submission deadline: March 3, 2023
Additional information: Projects must be realized to the extent that they may be judged on the basis of a documentation and they must have been created, realized or significantly updated within the last two years
